COMMUNITY SERVICE

Beyond the law, Debbie Hines uses her expertise in serving the community. She serves on various boards and organizations in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. She served on the Board of Directors of Ministries of Hope, a non-profit organization founded to help the homeless transform their lives. She was the Community Outreach Coordinator for the D.C. Bar Tort Law section. As Outreach Coordinator, she provided pro bono legal services to those in need in underserved communities and encouraged other lawyers to volunteer their time. She has served on the Boards of the YWCA of Greater Baltimore and Boy Scouts of America.

She presently serves on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer for Lincoln  Temple UCC Church in downtown Washington, DC.  She served on the Board of Directors of the Delta Housing Corporation. The Delta Housing Corporation owns and manages a multi-housing tower apartment complex for senior citizens in Washington, DC.

She is a Golden Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  a public service organization.   She is often asked to speak before community groups in the Washington D.C. area. She is committed to providing the public with up to date developments in the law and politics.
